Overview
Support Qualcomm DSP customer activities across Wearable, Mobile, XR, and Auto projects, with a focus on DSP development and optimization, audio and voice issue resolution, algorithm integration, and high-performance solutions across diverse platforms.
What you'll do
- Support DSP customer activities in ADSP and HTP across Linux and Windows environments.
- Perform DSP customization, issue debugging, algorithm porting, and real-time debugging.
- Analyze and improve audio and voice call performance.
- Address DSP, audio, and voice-related issues reported by customers.
- Interface with DSP frameworks and support DSP stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer-reported issues and accelerate customer problem resolution.
- Provide technical expertise on software systems through technical presentations supporting business development, product demonstrations, customer-specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers on software-system and application questions, issues, debugging, and troubleshooting.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
- 4–7 years of hands-on DSP development experience, including module porting, optimization, and real-time debugging on embedded platforms.
- Strong expertise in DSP architectures such as ADSP, CDSP, and Hexagon.
- Experience with RTOS concepts for real-time audio processing.
- 4–7 years of experience in Android audio framework, DSP debugging, DSP module porting, DSP hardware architecture, DSP power and performance, and DSP hardware interfaces.
- Experience in DSP assembly coding, scalar optimization, and vector optimizations.
- Background in signal processing algorithms, including filters, echo cancellation, noise suppression, beamforming, and voice enhancement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to debug complex DSP/audio issues in real time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Customer interaction experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with audio frameworks such as AudioReach, Android Audio HAL, Audio Policy Manager, and Audio Flinger.
- Experience working on any DSP, including porting and optimization of different algorithms along with real-time debugging.
- Experience with wearables and XR audio stack.
