Overview
Engineering Change (EC) Engineer (Mechanical) responsible for developing and managing the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process, coordinating engineering changes across functions, and ensuring efficient ECO/ECR processing and implementation.
What you'll do
- Coordinate the release of product improvements and/or new products with other engineering functions.
- Launch, release, approve, and implement engineering change requests to support design engineering and operations.
- Review ECOs for completeness, bill of material structure, and customer/organizational/product impacts.
- Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements.
- Develop root-cause and corrective action analysis for issues arising during assembly and/or test.
- Route ECOs and coordinate impacted EC analysts to ensure appropriate Change Implementation Board (CIB) members are included.
- Train/co（ach） ECO participants and mediate conflicts related to engineering change work.
What you'll need
- 5 to 8 years of experience.
- B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial.
- Knowledge of ECR/ECO processes, forms, instructions, and policies.
- Working knowledge of PLM/engineering databases including Team Center Engineering and Windchill, and PDM (SAP).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and UG NX.
- Knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes and ability to engage with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Demonstrated ability to write and track ECRs/ECOs.
