Overview
The Systems Specialist - Controls Engineering Automation independently executes and contributes to automation and controls engineering projects at Cytiva, delivering high-quality solutions within timelines and quality standards.
What you'll do
- Execute automation software development lifecycle activities including design, configuration, simulation/modeling, testing, verification, and validation.
- Support the development, enhancement, and sustainment of bioprocess automation systems.
- Perform engineering change activities using Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and stakeholders on technical discussions.
- Participate in continuous learning and knowledge-sharing activities.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial automation and control system software development.
- Hands-on involvement across requirements analysis, design, development, testing, verification, validation, and release.
- Strong experience with HMI/SCADA and PLC programming on at least two major automation platforms.
- Knowledge of industrial automation architectures, hardware interfaces, communication protocols, and process control concepts including PID control strategies.
- Hands-on experience with PLM and project management tools such as Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira, MAGIC, or equivalents.
