Engineering Manager

Overview

Lead 1-2 teams of software engineers in Product Development at SimCorp, responsible for hiring, growing and delivering outcomes for Investment Accounting products.

What you'll do

• Hire and onboard software engineers in Noida and Hyderabad, building and developing engineering teams to scale engineering capacity.
• Lead 1-2 teams of software engineers, growing and upskilling them through 1:1s, feedback, mentoring, coaching and goal setting.
• Take responsibility for both short-term sprint deliverables and long-term improvements of your team(s).
• Create a healthy working environment for your teams.
• Work closely with peers in Engineering Management and Product Management to understand and refine the customer outcomes your teams deliver.
• Collaborate with other leaders to deliver cross-area initiatives and ensure knowledge sharing and consistency where needed.
• Define relevant engineering metrics to gain insight into team performance and drive improvement.
• Be responsible for the planning and delivery of your teams' outcomes.

What you'll need

• Experience with engineer recruitment and building engineering teams.
• Overall 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years of software engineering experience, especially in .NET technologies.
• 0-5 years of people, process or technical leadership experience.
• Knowledge and experience with AI, with the purpose of improving efficiency.
• Strong experience with the .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs) building scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
• Solid understanding of web application architecture, including RESTful services, microservices / modular monolith patterns, and event-driven systems.
• Working knowledge of modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar (Angular preferred), with an ability to guide teams on front-end integration patterns.
• Experience building and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in cloud-native design principles, CI/CD pipelines, observability, resilience and scalability.
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices: API design, secure coding, performance optimization and distributed system design.
• Familiarity with data storage technologies (SQL Server, NoSQL, caching strategies).
• Experience from a workplace that produces financial software, uses investment management software, has a global workforce, and distributed teams.
• Personal accountability and initiative; comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and following through.
• Stakeholder management and collaboration across borders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to financial systems / capital markets platforms or high-volume transactional systems.
• Experience with frontend micro-frontend (MFE) architectures.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and engineering productivity practices.
• Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and platform engineering concepts.

• Location: Noida.
• Global hybrid work policy: 2 days a week from the office, with remote work on the other days if chosen.
