Engineering Manager

Overview

Lead EV Energy and Charging software development for CARIAD India-BU at Embitel India Pvt. Ltd., a Volkswagen Group company, combining technical ownership with people and program management of a team of 10–30 engineers.

What you'll do

• Lead EV Energy and Charging software (Embedded C) development, covering High/Medium/Low voltage energy and power management and charging system functions.
• Act as the technical escalation point.
• Own end-to-end delivery from India.
• Manage resources, stakeholders, milestones and global coordination.
• Lead and develop 10–30 engineers.
• Drive performance management, coaching and hiring.
• Ensure compliance with ASPICE (specifically SWE practices), ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.
• Plan and drive Agile / SAFe execution using JIRA and Confluence.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation, or Automotive Engineering.
• 10–16 years total experience.
• 3+ years in people management.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant automotive embedded software development experience.
• Embedded C/C++, MATLAB Simulink, AUTOSAR, Gtest, RTOS, CAN/LIN/Ethernet.
• EV domain experience: electric energy management, charging system, electric powertrain, battery management.
• Thorough experience in the automotive embedded SDLC (prototyping, design, VnV, certification, manufacturing and production, service, software bug fix, software change, software defect).
• Strong technical depth, global collaboration skills, a mentoring mindset, and experience working in matrixed organizations.
