Engineering Manager

Overview

Engineering Manager responsible for end-to-end delivery and execution of projects within product teams in Poland (remote).

What you'll do

• Drive end-to-end technical planning to translate product requirements into actionable work for the team.
• Orchestrate collaboration across engineers, product managers, QA, and UX.
• Translate requirements into EPICs and technical user stories and maintain backlog readiness.
• Plan and drive sprint execution, timelines, milestones, and early dependency surfacing.
• Maintain technical standards by guiding design decisions and participating in code reviews.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, and observability for owned services and meet defined SLIs/SLOs.
• Participate in incident response and conduct blameless RCA for production issues.

What you'll need

• 8-10 years of experience in software development/engineering or a similar hands-on technical role.
• 5+ years building production systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Minimum 3 years of proven engineering leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
• Hands-on ability to debug complex production issues and lead incident response and blameless RCA.
• Solid grasp of Agile methods including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.
• Proven ability to translate complex requirements into EPICs, user stories, and tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD, release management, and related metrics.
