English to Malay Linguist & Copy Editor for Product, Marketing & UI Content

Overview

Provide English-to-German translation, copy-editing, and machine translation post-editing for marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and light legal content in an ongoing freelance project.

What you'll do

• Translate English content into German for de-DE and/or de-CH audiences.
• Copy-edit translated content.
• Perform machine translation post-editing.
• Work across marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and light legal content.
• Use a client-specific CAT tool.
• Deliver more than 5,000 words per week while meeting deadlines.

What you'll need

• Native or near-native German proficiency.
• Excellent command of English.
• At least 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree.
• Experience translating English to German across varied content types.
• Experience using CAT tools.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback.

• Training on the client-specific CAT tool is provided during onboarding.
