Equipment Engineer - GEL

Overview

GEL Equipment Engineer responsible for setting up, upgrading, calibrating, buying-off, troubleshooting, and maintaining lab equipment, and for leading lab initiatives on site and supporting global GEL initiatives.

What you'll do

• Lead a team of technicians to plan and implement preventive maintenance and calibration for GEL lab equipment.
• Install, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and work with equipment vendors to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment and systems to support production processes.
• Identify recurring equipment downtime issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct failure analysis and lead RCCA and PA processes for manufacturing failures.
• Maintain records of maintenance, calibration, and repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8-9 years of experience with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics, electronics & communication, electrical, mechatronics, or computer science (engineering studies).
• At least one year (or equivalent) experience in engineering lab maintenance.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 for calibration.
• Experience with semiconductor lab tools such as temperature chamber, soak chamber, reflow oven, THB, bend tester, CSAM, shock tester, X-section, FTIR, SEM, 3D X-ray, and FIB.
• Knowledge of ESD and clean room bridge concepts.
• Knowledge of lean six sigma for laboratory, Kaizen, Lean, etc.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal) and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to work shifts and travel 0-20%.
