Overview
Hands-on full-stack technical architect owning the technical architecture and implementation of AI and agentic prototype solutions within Horizon's committed-build phase, translating solution architectures into working, tested code across integrations, data pipelines, and agentic automation on the Adobe ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Lead sprint execution, breaking solution architecture into testable, shippable increments across two-week sprints.
- Build custom integrations, data pipelines, custom interfaces, and agentic automation, including fine-tuned AI models, wiring GenStudio, Firefly, CX Enterprise CoWorker, AEP, and AEM into customer systems via APIs.
- Design and implement custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors that enable seamless integration between Adobe's AI/agentic solutions and client enterprise systems.
- Architect third-party connector strategies and build integration patterns that extend Adobe capabilities into client data ecosystems, knowledge bases, and operational systems while maintaining data governance and security standards.
- Lead AI hardening and production readiness validation for emerging capabilities and custom builds, identifying edge cases, failure modes, and mitigation strategies before client pilot launch.
- Define data schemas, lineage, and governance frameworks that support experimental AI use cases, ensuring data quality and traceability as prototypes move from innovation labs into production pilots.
- Write and ship production-quality code hands-on across the stack (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Node.js, React) and operate within agile build/deploy cadences, including CI/CD pipelines, feature branching, and frequent iterative releases.
- Establish coding standards, run code reviews, and work closely with other developers to align on technical patterns, quality practices, and integration best practices.
- Work with solution architects to stress-test technical feasibility and feed implementation learnings back into architecture decisions.
- Partner with the Lead Architect, Product Manager, and Innovation Strategy Lead to document integration approaches, configuration decisions, and known issues so future teams can sustain and extend the build.
- Track technical dependencies and coordinate with customer infrastructure teams to secure timely access to the staging and production environments needed to build, test, and ship.
- Partner with QA to execute test plans and validate releases before they ship.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of software engineering or technical architecture experience, including hands-on development across backend, front-end, and data integration technologies.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing or integrating solutions within the Adobe ecosystem, with experience across one or more Adobe solutions and extending platform capabilities through APIs and custom development.
- 3+ years of experience designing and building API-based integrations, data pipelines, or event-driven architectures connecting enterprise platforms and customer-experience applications.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications or solutions, including experience with AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, agent/LLM configurations, fine-tuning, or custom AI model integration.
- Hands-on proficiency in at least 3 relevant programming languages/frameworks, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Node.js, React, and SQL.
- 5+ years working in agile software development environments, including Scrum/Kanban, 1-2 week sprints, CI/CD deploy pipelines, feature branching, and frequent iterative releases.
- Demonstrated experience taking at least 2 rapid proofs-of-concept or prototypes through implementation or production/pilot readiness, ideally within compressed timelines and ambiguous, rapidly changing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience defining technical patterns and coding standards, conducting code reviews, and working with other developers to maintain code quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to operate effectively in emerging-technology environments with minimal guardrails.
