Overview
Experienced Process Integration Engineer to join the Fab team in Aachen and help build stable, scalable process integration for integrated graphene photonics and high-speed optical chip interconnects.
What you'll do
- Develop and qualify process flows and integration schemes for integrated photonic devices.
- Plan and execute process integration studies to support technology maturation toward mass production.
- Create data collection strategies and analyze datasets to support evidence-based decisions.
- Translate process observations into recommendations to improve process quality, manufacturability, and yield.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings and technical recommendations.
- Engage with Process Engineering to define and refine process specifications for the 300 mm manufacturing facility.
- Follow change-management protocols to introduce evidence-based improvements.
What you'll need
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of Process Integration experience in a semiconductor fab (ideally 300 mm).
- Experience leading complex technology development, process optimization, yield improvement, defect reduction, or reliability enhancement projects.
- Hands-on expertise with FMEA, SPC, DoE, and data analysis (including JMP).
- Strong English communication skills for analyzing complex data and presenting recommendations.
- Project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
