Expert Software Engineer- Workday HCM

Overview

Senior individual-contributor Expert Software Engineer–Workday HCM role covering functional administration, configuration, release management, and end-user support for the Workday HCM platform.

What you'll do

• Serve as primary Workday HCM administrator for Core HCM, Absence Management, Learning, Payroll Interfaces, Time Tracking, and business process configuration.
• Lead functional analysis, design, and hands-on configuration of Workday HCM modules.
• Design and build Workday business processes, security roles, condition rules, and reporting structures.
• Configure and maintain calculated fields, custom reports, and dashboards.
• Partner with HR/Finance/Operations stakeholders to gather and validate system requirements.
• Monitor Workday bi-annual release schedule and coordinate release testing, UAT, and production deployment sign-off.
• Own Tier 2/3 incident resolution and provide user support for Workday HCM modules.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of hands-on Workday HCM functional consulting experience.
• At least 2 full end-to-end lifecycle implementations.
• Deep expertise across Core HCM, Absence Management, Learning, Payroll Interfaces, Time Tracking, and business process configuration.
• Proficiency with Workday reporting tools including standard reports, custom reports, calculated fields, matrix reports, and condition rules.
• Workday HCM certification(s) in one or more functional areas strongly preferred.
• Ability to support US Eastern Time business hours from India with the specified shift options.

• Work schedule includes required shift availability aligned to US Eastern Time, with occasional off-hours/weekend support for planned maintenance and critical incidents.
