Overview
Facilities and Security Engineer responsible for ensuring facility compliance, planning facility/layout needs, and maintaining security systems to protect company facilities and employees.
What you'll do
- Coordinate facility layouts for plant, office, and production equipment to maximize utilization and production efficiency.
- Develop design cost specifications and prepare detailed estimates for design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, and related costs.
- Assist in creating criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment to meet operating requirements and building/safety codes.
- Maintain protection systems using employee badge protocols, computer security, and video monitoring.
- Follow up and implement programs to protect facilities, properties, executives, and employees, including computer security and employee identification card systems.
- Collaborate on internal investigations for theft and fraud, manage loss control and accident reports, and perform security risk assessment and planning for crisis management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, security manuals, and security awareness programs to meet codes and regulations.
What you'll need
- University degree (bachelor’s) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple competing tasks.
- Strong communication skills across oral, written, and presentation.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills to achieve results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with suppliers and external customers.
