FFR - Lead Software Engineer – Backend & AI/ML & Cloud

Overview

Lead Software Engineer focused on Backend plus AI/ML and cloud for building scalable data pipelines and GenAI/agent-based infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Design, fine-tune, and deploy small and open-source LLMs (including Llama, Mistral, and GPT models).
• Lead prompt engineering using prompt engineering, few-shot prompting, and advanced NLP/NLU workflows.
• Architect Python-based API and microservices systems using frameworks like FastAPI/Flask/Django.
• Architect, deploy, and scale production-grade ML/AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), with AWS preferred.
• Drive DevOps and operational practices including automation, containerization, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews, coding standards, and technical delivery across teams.
• Serve as technical point of contact for escalations, incident resolution, and production troubleshooting.

What you'll need

• 8-12 years in software development, including 3+ years in senior or lead roles delivering ML/AI solutions in a cloud environment.
• Real-world LLM prompt engineering experience including few-shot prompting and fine-tuning.
• Experience with LLM tooling/frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, and LangGraph.
• Mastery of Python for API/microservice development, code optimization, automated testing, and packaging.
• Hands-on deployment and scaling of AI/ML services using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containers/serverless/IaC.
• Proven experience mentoring engineers and driving cross-team technical initiatives.
• Exceptional communication ability to explain complex technical subjects and influence technical direction.
