Lead Software Engineer- Java Fullstack

Overview

Lead Software Engineer on a small, high-performing engineering team in Hyderabad, focused on enhancing the Order Management System (OMS) platform. A hands-on role providing technical expertise across backend Java systems and frontend applications.

What you'll do

• Contribute to the design and development of scalable, high-performance OMS features for both new initiatives and existing systems.
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate backend services and frontend applications using the established tech stack.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and troubleshooting.
• Help promote engineering best practices and high code quality within the team.
• Assist with platform modernization efforts, including refactoring and performance improvements.
• Continue to develop hands-on technical expertise and contribute directly to software development projects.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with solid skills in enterprise Java development and frontend frameworks.
• Experience contributing to large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical growth.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to financial trading applications, especially OMS, EMS, or related systems.
• Familiarity with multi-threaded programming, high-performance or low-latency systems.
