Field Service Engineer

Overview

Field Service Engineer II manages customer technical relations after point of sale for Intuitive Surgical products in an assigned territory.

What you'll do

• Serve as a da Vinci® surgical technical expert across all system platforms.
• Analyze customer requirements to support effective system installation via pre-site planning and installation coordination.
• Autonomously manage and schedule planned and unplanned customer appointments to meet uptime and reliability goals.
• Assess system functionality and repair Intuitive Surgical products using independent judgment.
• Identify and recommend product or process enhancements based on customer concerns to Product Support and Product Engineering.
• Provide technical training and technical support in an Operating Room environment based on customer training needs.
• Handle administrative duties including spare parts inventory, RMAs, calibrated equipment, training documentation, preventive maintenance scheduling, service contract billings, system configurations, and call escalation database data.

What you'll need

• 3-7 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good administrative and record keeping skills.
• Good knowledge of Operating Room protocol.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and lift 37 kgs.
