Field Service Engineer

Overview

Field Service Engineer executing medium to high complexity service work for analytical systems, ensuring reliable on-site customer support and uptime.

What you'll do

• Execute service work per ABB instructions, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Deliver reliable customer service, ensure customer satisfaction, and identify service business opportunities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical systems.
• Act as on-site technical focal point to support monitoring and day-to-day operation.
• Plan and execute maintenance schedules, coordinate spare parts inventory, and prepare service reports.
• Coach junior engineers and technicians during complex site activities.

What you'll need

• Diploma or B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5–10 years of practical experience with analytical products (Gas Chromatographs, continuous gas analyzers, water analyzers).
• Diagnostic and analytical troubleshooting skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
• Experience in service planning, documentation, and communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability and willingness to travel across the West region for service-related work.
• Fluent English with strong technical communication skills.
