Junior Service Engineer

Overview

Junior Service Engineer responsible for ensuring scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, heavy maintenance, and wreck repairs for 4500 HP and 6000 HP locomotives within timelines, cost, quality, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Perform activities to maintain scheduled and unscheduled locomotive maintenance.
• Execute heavy maintenance and wreck repair activities for locomotives.
• Ensure maintenance work meets timelines, cost, quality, and documentation requirements.
• Guide and mentor customer technicians and coordinate with customer staff.
• Ensure adherence to assigned work scopes.
• Encourage and maintain a safe work environment and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and local customer safety policies.

What you'll need

• BE/B.Tech in Engineering or a Diploma with applicable technical training.
• 7+ years of applicable operations experience in locomotive maintenance and/or transportation/rolling stock equipment.
• Willingness to work 24x7 operations across different shifts and various days.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a shop environment.
• Prior experience in the transportation industry.
• Prior experience operating and training on the HVT wheel turning machine.
