Trainee Junior Engineer

Overview

Trainee Junior Engineer to perform scheduled/unscheduled diesel-electric locomotive repair and maintenance, including heavy maintenance and wreck repair, ensuring timely completion, quality, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Conduct scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities for diesel-electric locomotives.
• Perform heavy maintenance and wreck repair work within given timelines and quality.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe work environment and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and local customer safety policies.
• Perform maintenance responsibilities for 4500 HP and 6000 HP locomotives.

What you'll need

• Diploma in Engineering.
• 1–3 years of applicable operations experience.
• Ability to work in 24x7 operations with different shifts and various days.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a shop environment.
• Comfort with learning and adopting IT systems for monitoring and maintaining locomotives.
