Finance Controller

Overview

Finance Controller for Trek in India, leading the finance function end-to-end and supporting commercial decision-making through reporting, controls, budgeting, and working-capital insights.

What you'll do

• Own the monthly close process and report to Group under US GAAP within 3 days of month-end.
• Ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain internal controls and oversee risk management practices.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, tracking performance versus plans.
• Oversee statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory compliance, ensuring observations are closed on time.
• Manage credit control and working capital, minimizing overdue receivables and improving DSO.
• Provide commercial finance analysis on margins, profitability, cash flow planning, and expense management.

What you'll need

• 12–14 years of overall experience.
• 5+ years in a direct leadership capacity within accounting, auditing, or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CA, CWA, or CPA qualification.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills to process large datasets with sense checks.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
• Demonstrable knowledge of India’s regulatory environment.
