Overview
Finance Planning & Variance Analyst responsible for weekly/monthly financial analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting to support planning and business decisions.
What you'll do
- Conduct financial analysis including budget variance, cost forecasting, and spending trend evaluation weekly and monthly.
- Build and maintain financial models and forecasts for strategic planning and business decision-making.
- Monitor actual spending versus budget and prepare variance reports for management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with multiple departments on budget planning, spending forecasts, and achievement of financial targets.
- Verify financial data, purchase requisitions, and budget availability before transactions.
- Reconcile financial records to ensure correct expense classification and report to relevant departments.
- Identify process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional experience in finance, financial analysis, or accounting roles.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders.
- Fluent English communication (written and verbal).
Nice to have
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools and methodologies.
- Experience in cost accounting, standard costing, or inventory management.
- Project management experience or certification.
- Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
