Financial Analyst

Overview

This role owns accounting processes, leads complex analyses to support decision-making, and ensures compliance with accounting policies, acting as the first escalation point for complex issues.

What you'll do

• Own and execute accounting processes and perform complex analysis of transactional accounting information to support decision-making.
• Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and communication of procedures to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Act as the first escalation point of contact for complex systems or policy issues related to area of expertise.
• Lead the implementation, adoption and integration of new accounting processes and systems across the entire organization.
• Engage proactively in identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement and make recommendations.
• Execute and ensure the effectiveness of business controls by conducting comprehensive reviews, analyses, and verifications.
• Coordinate departmental work, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure effective business controls for streamlined processes.
• Lead and assign responsibilities for complex requests, contribute innovative concepts, and implement changes for process improvement.
• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot complex problems, collaborating with others to develop recommendations.
• Analyze tasks, collaborate with internal partners, and provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level roles to enhance organizational performance.

What you'll need

• High School Diploma/GED/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 8+ years of related work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Certified Bookkeeper certification.
• Knowledge and skills in account reconciliation, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, balance sheet, billing, bookkeeping, economics, external auditing, finance, financial services, financial statements, general ledger, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, internal controls, invoicing, month-end closing, reconciliation, and SAP applications.
