Financial Consulting Supervisor - Fund Services+, Manco

Overview

Supervisor role in RSM's Fund Services+ practice, focused on Management Company accounting for private equity and real estate clients.

What you'll do

• Prepare and facilitate day-to-day operating activities for private equity and real estate clients, including cash reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, T&E, intercompany expenses and fixed assets.
• Lead and support the client's month end close process as needed, which may include reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Become an expert user in the firm's fund administration technology platform, understand the overall technology stack and identify add-on processes, systems, modules and integrations that can drive month end close efficiencies.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, financial statement footnotes and quarterly accounting workpaper packages.
• Coordinate with clients' external auditors and tax providers to assist with year end audits and the tax return information needed.
• Participate in meetings with new client prospects and in the proposal process.
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance clients' monthly operations and make suggestions for process improvements.
• Once established, help train new and junior level staff members.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of Big 4 or national accounting firm experience, or equivalent progressive experience in accounting and financial management in a corporate accounting environment, in roles such as accounting supervisor or manager.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized.
• Strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and a positive attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

Nice to have

• Experience working with RIAs, Private Equity firms, Private Trust Companies.
• CPA.
• Allvue or Intacct knowledge.
