Overview
Financial Data Analyst role in Gartner’s Finance FP&A team supporting the Conferences business unit. You will deliver actionable financial insights through advanced analytics and automated KPI reporting.
What you'll do
- Develop and optimize financial analytics for sales teams to support profitable growth and revenue enhancement.
- Analyze complex business challenges and provide actionable recommendations to business leaders.
- Drive automation of reporting processes using Power BI, SQL, and Python to deliver KPI dashboards.
- Interpret complex datasets to produce meaningful business insights for strategic and operational decisions.
- Streamline internal data/financial processes, automate data extraction, and build new metrics.
- Provide ad hoc modelling and analytical insights for strategic and operational initiatives.
- Ensure rigorous, timely, and accurate financial reporting and analytics for executive leadership.
What you'll need
- 3+ years in core analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, or Finance.
- Advanced Power BI knowledge including DAX, Power Query, advanced data modelling, query folding, and Databricks.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Python experience is highly desirable.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven business partnering skills across finance and data domains.
