Senior Data Scientist

Overview

Senior Data Scientist role focused on building and optimizing scalable Power BI reporting and analytics solutions using cloud data platforms.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI solutions across ingestion, storage, and presentation layers.
• Build semantic data models using star and snowflake schemas for relationships and aggregations.
• Write and optimize complex DAX for measures, calculated columns, and KPIs on large datasets.
• Develop ETL and data transformation logic using Power Query (M language), including reusable dataflows and pipelines.
• Implement row-level security and enforce data governance, documentation, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing reports and SQL queries to ensure high performance at scale.

What you'll need

• Proficiency in the Power BI stack (Power BI Desktop, Service, Gateway, report building).
• Advanced SQL skills for writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries (CTEs, analytical functions, stored procedures).
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS (S3, AWS SageMaker, Athena).
• Proficiency in Python for advanced data processing, automation, and custom visuals.
• Experience with Power Query (M language) for ETL and data transformation.

Nice to have

• Experience with tuning tools such as DAX Studio or Tabular Editor is preferred.
