FinOps Recons Associate

Overview

Own and execute reconciliations across Xendit's financial operations to ensure all funds move as expected, as part of a new reconciliations subteam within FinOps.

What you'll do

• Own and execute reconciliations for Xendit's day-to-day financial operations.
• Own the reconciliation process for all Xendit products across the region, ensuring all funds are moving as expected and Xendit has no exposure or incorrect transactions.
• Work with product teams to automate reconciliations across products and the region, ensuring no gaps and protection against money loss.
• Solve for unreconciled transactions by working with product, partnerships and finance to identify and resolve root causes.
• Set up reconciliations for any new products.
• As new products launch and markets expand, set up and own reconciliation processes to keep them at best-in-class standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Graduate of Management, Accounting, Finance, or a similar course.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment, or within payments, fintech, or financial services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail oriented, able to see patterns in data or notice when something is amiss.

Nice to have

• Experience working in or dealing with banks or large financial institutions, with specialized work on finance, payments and reconciliations.
• Initiative to continually ask questions and look for answers.
• Discerning ability to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Team player who communicates well with internal and external stakeholders.
• Great ownership mentality and proven ability to push towards a goal independently.
• Picks up new skills quickly through self-exploration and relationship building.

• Enjoys learning and always seeks to improve.
• Working experience on reconciliation tools and SQL.
