Founding AI Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview

Founding AI Forward Deployed Engineer to help stand up RingCentral’s Forward-Deployed Engineering function and deploy production agentic AI systems in customer environments.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end strategic customer deployments.
• Design and ship multi-turn voice and digital agent workflows.
• Build and deploy integrations to customer systems of record.
• Implement guardrails and compliance controls for each environment.
• Instrument evaluation, monitoring, and testing to improve agent performance.
• Provide pre-sales support via demos, POCs, and technical scoping.
• Feed field findings into platform roadmap prioritization.

What you'll need

• 4+ years in customer-facing technical work with real implementation ownership of deployed work.
• Ability to write and ship production code in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building and debugging API integrations independently.
• Hands-on depth with LLMs in production, including RAG, agent orchestration, and evaluation.
• Experience debugging agent failures in production (not just demos).
• Ability to communicate across engineers, executives, and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/work experience.
