Overview

Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to join Glean’s forward deployed team and create new product surfaces from scratch (0-to-1) for strategic customers.

What you'll do

• Discover and build Glean’s next product surfaces through 0-to-1 product creation.
• Lead deep opportunity discovery before writing code.
• Act as a technical partner to customer C-suite executives and explain builds, rationale, and risks.
• Scale what works by working with the core R&D team to ensure scalability.
• Stay at the frontier with Glean’s R&D team and share field learnings to shape platform evolution.

What you'll need

• 4+ years in technical roles with a track record of shipping production software.
• Experience shipping AI-powered solutions in real-world settings (prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, deployment at scale).
• Strong full-stack programming skills and understanding of enterprise systems.
• Ability to connect customer problem diagnosis to a product hypothesis without being handed a brief.
• Clear communication and ability to tailor technical depth to the room.
• Judgment to estimate buildability and simplify scope to reach production faster.
