Front End Software Engineer

Overview

Join Qualys as a Front-end Engineer creating modern, intuitive, data-driven interfaces for multiple web-based SaaS products and helping define the customer experience.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with a UX/UI designer and other front-end and middle-tier engineers to design, prototype, and build complex cloud-based security applications.
• Assist other developers with integration of UI components with backend logic, interface implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Support the existing UI.
• Create solutions for advanced functionality and make improvements to existing areas of the application and new features.

What you'll need

• 3+ years front-end development experience.
• Fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Excellent understanding of the browser DOM.
• Firm grasp of lexical scoping, closures, and object-oriented JavaScript.
• Proficiency in native JavaScript and one or more frameworks such as ReactJS.
• Ability to bring Photoshop designs to life with near pixel-perfect accuracy.
• Proficiency with debugging and testing tools to troubleshoot and optimize the UI.
• Understanding of accessibility and 508 compliance.
• Experience building responsive UI.
• Understanding of front-end security best practices and XSS, CSRF, etc.
• Well versed with Windsurf/claude AI coding.
