Frontend Engineer

Overview

Frontend Engineer to build core web experiences for Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets, delivering highly interactive, AI-integrated product surfaces.

What you'll do

• Build major web experiences across Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets.
• Develop complex interactions including real-time messaging and collaborative editing.
• Create reusable frontend architecture and components for consistent app behavior.
• Integrate streaming AI responses, proactive actions, and model-driven experiences into workflows.
• Own frontend performance, responsiveness, reliability, and accessibility across browsers/devices.
• Collaborate with product and design to move prototypes to production.

What you'll need

• Strong experience building complex production web apps using React and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs, and performance.
• Experience building highly interactive products like chat, collaboration, productivity, or document editing.
• Experience with real-time systems such as WebSockets and streaming APIs (or collaborative interfaces).
• Strong product and UI judgment focused on interaction details.
• Ability to independently own features from technical design through production.
