Full Stack Developer(Parsing Engineer)

Overview

Design, develop and maintain scalable full stack applications for business-critical financial technology solutions, owning the document scraping, ingestion and digitization tooling that underpins FIS's regulatory mandate catalog.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and maintain scalable full stack applications using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.
• Own and maintain the document scraping and transformation tooling, with the opportunity to revamp and revitalize these tools.
• Scale internal tooling to support ingestion of documents from new regulators and new formats.
• Work closely with product managers, business experts, solution leaders and clients to design, develop and maintain a platform of parsing tools and applications.
• Take independent ownership of the tooling platform and make independent decisions based on design and architectural best practices.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, security and observability.

What you'll need

• 5 to 8 years of hands-on full stack software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Proven experience in independently developing full stack applications, with end to end ownership.
• Strong back-end development experience, including application programming interfaces, services and distributed systems.
• Experience working with relational or non-relational databases.
• Knowledge of software design principles, secure coding practices and application architecture.
• Experience with source control, automated testing and continuous delivery practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.
• Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps delivery environments.
• Knowledge of banking, payments, financial services or fintech solutions.
• Experience using AI assisted development for rapid prototyping and rapid application development.
