Gas Turbine Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

Support senior engineers in the design, development and technical improvement of gas turbine products, solutions, and systems within the Technology and Engineering team.

What you'll do

• Execute, with guidance from a senior engineer, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to support assigned components and assemblies for a gas turbine product that meet business standards and program or product requirements.
• Prepare and present technical assessment results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated in the eDRB.
• Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives in energy transition and productivity improvement.
• Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
• Prepare invention disclosures to protect technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and tasks, consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

What you'll need

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of experience in gas turbine design.
• Familiarity with design and analysis tools and systems such as NX (Unigraphics), ANSYS Classic, ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Topology Optimization or similar.
• Understanding of technical documentation, GD&T, its management process (e.g., Bill of Material) and Supply Chain Processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.
