Mechanical Design Engineer II

Overview

Design and develop mechanical layouts, components, and processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly across the product life cycle. Troubleshoot mechanical problems and support testing, documentation, manufacturing, and installation.

What you'll do

• Perform engineering analysis under general supervision.
• Design or modify mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment.
• Identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
• Perform and document engineering test reports.
• Generate alpha and gamma documentation for product releases.
• Enable handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts and assemblies throughout the product life cycle.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems of moderate difficulty.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD software.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics.
• Experience with sheet metal design.
• Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of GD&T, flow analysis, or Design for Excellence principles.
• Experience with ultra-high-purity semiconductor process chemistry delivery components and systems.
