Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and release components for electric forklifts at the TICO Pune Development Center (Vanderlande sister company).

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and release components for new forklift models and options.
• Create parts spanning welded steel assemblies, castings, plastics, rubbers, multi-part assemblies, and electrical components.
• Develop 3D models, drawings, and study files using CATIA.
• Manage design files in a PDM system and ensure drawing quality per company standards.
• Validate designs using FEA software and specify system parameters to meet performance, durability, and regulatory requirements.
• Support design reviews, cross-functional collaboration, and prototype testing documentation.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience.
• 2+ years in Product Design/Development.
• 3D CAD experience (CATIA preferred) and PDM system experience.
• Experience in forklift, automotive, or heavy equipment design.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
