Global Mobility Tax (US Expat Tax) - Senior - Mumbai - India

Overview

Senior role in Plante Moran's Global Mobility Tax practice, managing global mobility engagements for U.S. expats working outside the U.S. and foreign nationals working in the U.S.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain client relationships and proactively manage the client deliverable
• Review U.S. federal and state income tax returns
• Review tax equalizations, hypothetical tax calculations, and cost projections
• Conduct exit and entrance interviews with assignees
• Provide consulting advisory services on foreign assignments, tax treaty applications, and more
• Develop, coordinate, and supervise projects of tax staff and interns
• Take an active role in practice development by promoting GMS services internally and externally

What you'll need

• 4+ years of recent experience in public accounting, specializing in global mobility tax
• Demonstrated skills in the areas identified in the job description above
• Bachelor's degree
• In lieu of a CPA, an EA or JD is required

• Position may be filled as a Senior or Manager based on experience level
• Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Southeast Michigan, West Michigan, Denver, or Chicago area or be willing to relocate to these areas for this opportunity
• Exempt position; may require hours exceeding the standard 40-hour work week
• Principally in-person model with flexibility to determine optimal working environment each day with supervisor and team
