Overview
Global Quality Front-End Central Quality Assurance Engineer/Sr Engineer (GQ FECTQA MOI) role supporting centralized quality operations for Micron wafer fabrication sites across Asia and the United States.
What you'll do
- Design and develop quality screening and disposition systems for centralized deployment.
- Configure and maintain automated lot hold, disposition, and containment workflows.
- Execute wafer lot disposition and perform statistical quality risk assessment.
- Analyze manufacturing datasets using statistical monitoring and data visualization.
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives for quality monitoring and disposition.
- Collaborate with global quality teams to ensure consistent quality execution and defect containment.
- Support operational excellence activities including audits and quality system assessments.
What you'll need
- 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quality, reliability, test engineering, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of statistical methodologies including SPC, outlier detection, and distribution/trend analysis.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, wafer fabrication, probe testing, and parametric testing.
- Understanding of quality systems, risk management, and defect containment processes.
- Ability to interpret complex manufacturing datasets and solve problems analytically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Experience in quality engineering, reliability engineering, or semiconductor product disposition.
- Familiarity with machine learning, predictive analytics, or AI-based manufacturing applications.
- Experience developing dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of quality methodologies such as FMEA, CAPA, 8D, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
