Global Settlements Associate 1

Overview

Associate role focused on end-to-end global equity settlement operations, from trade monitoring and exception handling to cash/position reconciliations and regulatory control support.

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end global equity settlement process across multiple international markets.
• Monitor daily settlement activity and identify transactions at risk of failing.
• Investigate and resolve settlement exceptions, trade discrepancies, and failing transactions.
• Manage trade mismatches by resolving instruction, quantity/price, allocation, and booking errors.
• Perform daily cash and securities position reconciliations across global markets and currencies.
• Support operational processes to comply with applicable SEC, FINRA, and global market regulations.
• Produce operational reporting and help improve processes and controls.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience supporting brokerage operations focused on global equity settlements.
• Working knowledge of SWIFT settlement messaging (MT54x series).
• Ability to perform cash and position reconciliations across multiple currencies and markets.
• Experience working with third-party clearing firms and global custodians.
• Familiarity with BNY Nexen or similar global custody settlement platforms.
• Ability to investigate trade mismatches and collaborate with counterparties to resolve settlement issues.
• Comfort working remotely while collaborating with distributed teams.
