Overview
Intel is hiring a GPU Validation Engineer in its Data Center Group (DCG) to ensure the functional accuracy, performance, and reliability of Intel's GPUs, covering interactions across GPU, media, display and system-level features.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute functional validation plans for GPUs, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across hardware and software components.
- Analyze and debug silicon issues to identify root causes, resolve failures, and optimize GPU designs.
- Test and validate system-level interactions between GPU features using advanced validation infrastructure.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, and manufacturing teams to refine validation methodologies and processes.
- Review proposed design changes to assess their impact on validation timelines, tasks, and performance goals.
- Design and implement post-silicon validation infrastructure, including behavioral checkers, performance monitors, and coverage tools.
- Publish detailed validation reports summarizing key findings, results, and recommendations.
- Maintain and improve validation strategies to support product specifications and enhance overall GPU functionality.
- Apply hardware and software level tools and techniques to ensure validation coverage and that performance, power, and area goals are met.
- Perform silicon debug to identify root causes and resolve all functional and triage failures for GPU issues.
- Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure (e.g., performance monitors, behavioral checkers, state space coverage) and test environments used in validation testing.
- Work with architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teams to maintain and improve debug, validation test strategy, methodologies, and processes for graphics interfaces.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 9+ years of experience in GPU validation, silicon debugging, or related domains, or a Master's degree with 6+ years, or a Ph.D. with 4+ years.
- Proficiency in validation tools and techniques, including hardware validation infrastructure and software-based testing methodologies.
- Experience with silicon debug processes, triage failure analysis, and system-level validation.
- Strong technical expertise in GPU architecture, media, and display technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute validation plans aligned with design and performance goals.
