Graduate – Subsurface – Geology

Overview

Graduate role in the One Subsurface early careers programme at bp, working in geology to characterise the subsurface, describe uncertainty, manage risk and use technical data to inform business decisions.

What you'll do

• Work on projects and support your team to find the best solutions
• Help maintain performance within your team and for bp as a company
• Build relationships within bp and with external partners, collaborating across functions, segments and teams to deliver excellence
• Demonstrate drive and dedication through the bp values, with an emphasis on safety

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in geology or any geoscience discipline
• CGPA of 7 and above
• Class of 2027
• Willingness to learn, a passion to excel and deliver results

Nice to have

• Demonstrable data science skills, including using statistical methods to interrogate large datasets for geological insight
• Application of scripting languages such as Python and R, and development environments such as Jupyter and RStudio
