Graduate – Subsurface – Geophysics

Overview

A graduate role in the One Subsurface early careers programme, working in the Geophysics team on the acquisition, processing, interpretation and analysis of seismic and other geophysical datasets to build an image of the subsurface.

What you'll do

• Work on projects and support your team to find the best solutions
• Help maintain performance within your team and for bp as a company
• Build relationships within bp and with external partners, collaborating across functions, segments and teams to deliver excellence
• Demonstrate drive and dedication through the bp values, with an emphasis on safety

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in geology or any geoscience discipline
• CGPA of 7 and above
• Class of 2027
• Willingness to learn, a passion to excel and deliver results

Nice to have

• Demonstrable data science skills, advantageous for any geoscience candidate
• Proficiency in using statistical methods to interrogate large datasets for geological insight
• Application of scripting languages such as Python and R, and development environments such as Jupyter and RStudio

• No travel expected
• Eligible for relocation within country
• Not available for remote working
• Programme of 3 years with two rotations
