Head of Engineering for Tide’s Commercial Services, a senior technical leadership role shaping engineering architecture, strategy, and execution for the commercial services platform.
What you'll do
- Define and drive architectural direction for Commercial Services offerings to ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance.
- Lead design and development of high-quality credit products.
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Business to enhance the Commercial Services team.
- Oversee integrations with third-party providers to ensure seamless technical delivery.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in architecture, design, and engineering decisions.
- Champion engineering best practices across system design, security, and software development standards.
- Mentor engineers and Engineering Managers and influence Tide’s technical strategy as the platform scales globally.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience.
- At least 3 years in senior engineering leadership roles.
- Strong experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools and LLMs to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery velocity.
- Experience building scalable, resilient, fault-tolerant systems.
- Proven ability to deliver complex systems and third-party integrations.
- Strong mentoring skills for building high-performing engineering teams.
