Overview
Head of Finance to build and own the finance function end-to-end, covering close, compliance, margin engineering, FP&A, and treasury.
What you'll do
- Own monthly close, including revenue recognition for usage-based and contracted plans.
- Handle statutory audit, AR, and collections.
- Run multi-entity finance across the US and India, including intercompany, transfer pricing, and consolidation.
- Manage compliance for GST, TDS, ROC/MCA, FEMA and RBI filings, and ESOP administration and perquisite tax.
- Partner on gross margin engineering by working on infra spend, cloud commitments, and cost per ingested GB.
- Own FP&A deliverables including annual operating plan and rolling forecast.
- Develop cash and treasury planning, including 13-week cash flow and USD/INR exposure.
What you'll need
- CA with 8–12 years post-qualification.
- Personally owned monthly close and statutory audit (not just supervised).
- Built a financial model from operating drivers and can discuss learnings.
- Working fluency in Indian startup compliance: GST, TDS, ROC, FEMA, and ESOP taxation.
- Comfort with messy, incomplete data and willingness to ship a defensible answer.
- Strong communication to explain margin problems and burn scenarios to technical and board audiences.
