Associate, Accounting (Mumbai)

Overview

Associate, Accounting (Mumbai) supporting month-end/quarter-end close, AP, reconciliations, consolidation work, and audit responses.

What you'll do

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close including daily cash, payroll, fixed assets, and prepaids.
• Process accounts payable by reviewing invoices, coding, and ensuring timely payment processing.
• Prepare month-end reconciliations for corporate balances.
• Assist with analyzing legal entity level results for service entities.
• Support intercompany eliminations and consolidation procedures.
• Investigate, reconcile, and record correct entries with counterparts in other departments.
• Manage and respond to audit requests for various entities.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Experience working preferably within traditional financial services accounting.
• Familiarity with maintaining books and records of a bank or a financial institution.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with datasets in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience at a public accounting firm.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• College degree with a competitive GPA and demonstrated math or analytical ability.
• Ability to multitask across several projects at once.
