Finance Controller-India Head

Overview

Finance Controller - India Head to own and strengthen India finance end-to-end, including close, reporting, compliance, audits, and finance integration with business operations.

What you'll do

• Own India month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with clean, accurate, predictable reporting.
• Improve accruals, provisions, and reconciliations to ensure consolidation-ready outputs.
• Act as the single point of accountability for India finance, driving follow-ups and closure of open items.
• Own statutory compliance and manage end-to-end statutory, tax, and internal audits, closing observations with fixes.
• Take full ownership of outputs from external partners and elevate deliverable quality to align with business context.
• Own employee and operational expense governance, including budget and spend review/approval and control strengthening.
• Ensure continuity for transfer pricing and coordinate on APA-related matters with tax advisors.

What you'll need

• CA (Chartered Accountant) required.
• 7–15 years of experience in controllership, accounting, or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of India GAAP/India AS with working familiarity of US GAAP.
• Familiarity with STPI/SEZ compliance, FEMA/RBI guidelines, and intercompany billing models in SaaS setups.
• Experience in a multinational or global reporting environment is important.
• Preferred experience working with external vendors such as Big4 or accounting firms.
• Exposure to transfer pricing or APA is a plus.
