Hedge Fund Tax Staff

Overview

Hedge Fund Tax Staff I will provide tax consulting and compliance services to hedge funds with U.S. and foreign reporting requirements, helping them plan strategically to minimize investors' tax burdens and meet regulatory obligations.

What you'll do

• Prepare yearly tax filings for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Real Estate Funds, and Funds' general partners and investment managers.
• Perform security analysis and calculate various Fund tax adjustments.
• Prepare complex partner tax allocations.
• Communicate with federal and state tax authorities, as needed.
• Research tax treatment of complex financial instruments and corporate actions of Funds.
• Assist in tax planning for Funds, including structuring new Funds and optimizing existing Fund tax strategies.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Strong team player with a commitment to high quality, detailed work.
• Ability to deal with clients and a good "executive presence".
• Self-starter with the ability to deal with multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Master's in Taxation.
• CPA or CPE eligibility.
• Basic knowledge of partnership tax accounting rules (with a focus on hedge funds).
• Experience in the financial service industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work overtime during peak times.
