HVAC Engineer

Overview

Design HVAC systems and building services for commercial, residential, institutional, and other local and international building projects. Support design development through project completion while meeting applicable standards, specifications, quality requirements, and deadlines.

What you'll do

• Develop HVAC designs for building projects.
• Prepare heating and cooling load calculations and select equipment.
• Develop ducting layouts, piping layouts, system schematics, and HVAC drawings.
• Prepare specifications, schedules, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Conduct design reviews and support BIM/CAD modelling and clash coordination.
• Provide technical support during project execution and resolve design-related queries.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of experience in HVAC design and building services engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience working on local and/or international building projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, design calculations, and engineering principles.
• Knowledge of relevant international and local codes and standards.
• Experience preparing HVAC drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, or equivalent design tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in multidisciplinary design consultancy or an engineering design organisation.
• Exposure to international projects and global design standards.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and coordination processes.
• Ability to manage multiple project deliverables within agreed timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical quality.
