Electrical Engineer

Overview

Electrical Design Engineer responsible for delivering building-services electrical designs and technical deliverables for local and overseas projects. The role includes multidisciplinary coordination, design reviews, and support during project execution.

What you'll do

• Develop electrical designs for commercial, residential, institutional, infrastructure, and other building projects.
• Prepare load schedules, design calculations, equipment sizing, layouts, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Design LV/MV distribution, power, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare design specifications, reports, calculations, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Support BIM/CAD modelling, clash detection, design reviews, and technical issue resolution.
• Provide technical support during project execution and complete deliverables on schedule.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical design for buildings and building services.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, power systems, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Experience preparing electrical calculations, layouts, schematics, specifications, and technical reports.
• Knowledge of IEC, BS, IS, or other applicable project-specific electrical standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, Dialux, or equivalent design software.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering consultancy or design organisations.

Nice to have

• Experience working on international and local building projects.
• Exposure to BIM-based design and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of international building-services standards and design practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and deadline-management skills.
