Senior Project Engineer - Civil

Overview

Senior Project Engineer responsible for civil engineering design and technical delivery across substation and transmission line projects, including AIS and GIS systems up to 500kV.

What you'll do

• Develop civil and structural designs for substation foundations, structures, buildings, and transmission lines.
• Prepare site grading, drainage, surfacing, foundation, structural, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Prepare equipment specifications, bills of materials, project documentation, work plans, and cost estimates.
• Review consultant designs and drawings and provide technical comments.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with site teams, customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and engineers.
• Support installation, commissioning, design reviews, construction activities, and project closeout.
• Track engineering changes, design issues, risks, opportunities, and lessons learned.

What you'll need

• 6–10 years of experience in substation design, with HV equipment and overall system design expertise.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
• Experience in civil and structural engineering for GIS or AIS substations and transmission lines for American utilities.
• Experience designing AIS and GIS substation foundations and structures up to 500kV.
• Hands-on experience with STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, L-Pile, L-Shaft, RISA, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with transmission line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, or PLS-POLE.
• Knowledge of ANSI standards, pile foundation design, site grading, drainage, and engineering records systems.
