Overview
Senior Onshore Civil & Structural Engineer supporting FEED and detailed engineering for large-scale onshore oil and gas facilities. The role focuses on structural and foundation analysis, design, verification, and multidisciplinary project execution.
What you'll do
- Perform structural analysis, design, and verification for pipe racks, foundations, shelters, modular structures, skids, and tank foundations.
- Analyse operating, environmental, seismic, transportation, static, and dynamic load conditions using STAAD Pro CONNECT Edition.
- Design machine foundations using vibration criteria, soil–structure interaction, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare design calculations, analysis models, reports, material take-offs, and engineering documentation.
- Prepare and review general arrangement, foundation, reinforcement, and fabrication drawings.
- Review vendor drawings and equipment data for structural adequacy and plant integration.
- Coordinate with geotechnical, piping, mechanical, electrical, construction, and other disciplines.
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of related onshore structural engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience with FEED and detailed engineering oil and gas projects.
- Knowledge of ACI, AISC, Eurocode, IS Codes, API, or equivalent structural and foundation standards.
- Experience using STAAD Pro CONNECT Edition and MAT3D or equivalent foundation analysis software.
- Experience designing pipe racks, equipment and machine foundations, modular structures, tank foundations, pile foundations, and shallow foundations.
- Technical report writing, engineering documentation, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- Experience with brownfield, revamp, and plant expansion projects.
- Experience in dynamic analysis and vibration assessment of machine foundations.
- Knowledge of nonlinear, seismic, time-history, or response spectrum analysis.
- Familiarity with onshore construction, modularization, and fabrication practices.
