Overview
HWQA Engineer to drive quality improvements by designing and implementing test plans and automated verification for pre-silicon (FPGA) and silicon SoC/platform validation.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and implement test cases and test plans on pre-silicon (FPGA) and silicon validation platforms.
- Develop and validate test plans covering OS kernel, CPU, memory, and IO interfaces (C2C, USB, PCIe, Ethernet).
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks for verification and reliability in testing pipelines.
- Create workloads and use tools to validate new chip features and functionalities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware ASIC/FPGA and SW development) on requirements, products/features, and test methods.
- Troubleshoot bugs and provide resolutions.
What you'll need
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Computer Science/Electronics/Telecommunication.
- At least 3+ years of test development, execution/validation experience on pre-silicon and silicon for Embedded/SoC platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Windows on Arm (WOA) and GPU validation (test planning, execution, debug, issue closure).
- Solid understanding of SoC architecture, platform bring-up, and IP-level validation (e.g., USB, display, GPU, LSIO).
- Practical knowledge of AI/LLM fundamentals for validation (test strategy, log/trace analysis, triage, test-tool development).
- Proven ability to use GenAI/LLM tools to optimize test strategies and automate test script/harness generation.
Nice to have
- LLM/GenAI experience (tools like Cursor/Codex).
- GPU validation experience.
- Experience using an Analyzer/Oscilloscope.
