IBMS Design Engineer

Overview

IBMS Design Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and integrating building management system controls for data center modular MEP platforms.

What you'll do

• Own control system architecture and development across cooling, power, plumbing, and support utilities.
• Design and integrate building systems including PA, FA, rodent repellant, WLD, BMS, ASD, security/access control, and CCTV.
• Define control strategies, sequences of operation, alarm logic, failover logic, and interlocks.
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA code and oversee integration with building management and monitoring platforms.
• Produce control architecture diagrams, network layouts, data models, and interface specs.
• Perform design reviews and review/approve vendor controls submittals and implementations.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in IBMS solutions design, controls engineering, automation, or industrial software development.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) and HMI/SCADA platforms.
• Understanding of control theory, sequencing, PID loops, interlocks, and safety logic.
• Familiarity with data center building utilities and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
